Being Charitable (or donating $1 to a good cause)

So I while back I discover Kickstarter which is a very cool website that according to their website "is a new way to fund creative ideas and ambitious endeavors."

We believe that...

• A good idea, communicated well, can spread fast and wide.
• A large group of people can be a tremendous source of money and encouragement.

Kickstarter is powered by a unique all-or-nothing funding method where projects must be fully-funded or no money changes hands.

So that means that if you donate and the goal is not reached no money gets collected and most ppl who are pputting up the project will have incentives to donate more (ex. if you donate $10 you get this, & if you donate $50 you get this, etc)

I Previously Donated to Challengers Comics to Help Fund the Chicago's First ever Original Comic Art Galleryand I was a complete success.

Now I found a project an even more project that I fell really passionate about. . .

Very Near Mint is a comic book about... comic books! The story centers around two friends, Colin and Sam, who run the Splash Page, a comic book shop. It also happens to be the first day of their new employee, Nate. As it turns out, it's a bad day for the new kid to start his new job. Something terrible has happened to this week's new comics. Also, Colin's ex-girlfriend has returned. And if that wasn't enough, some dude wants to ruin all their lives by... well... you'll have to read it to find out.

VNM (that's shorthand for Very Near Mint, kids) has it all. Comics, movies references, cute girls, nerds, drunk record store clerks, villains, humor, suspense, and did I mention cute girls?

Justin Peterson is the creator and he is trying to raise $3000 to be able to publish vol. 1 and be able to go around the contry promoting the book.

Please check out the video or any other projects in Kickstarter and be Charitable this season ;-)
