In April, Reed Exhibitions (The People who brought us New York Comic con) gave us our first Comics Convention in the Downtown Chicago, Chicago Comics and Entertainment Expo was a Three day event that was held in McCormick Place in April 17 -20.
With the first Con in downtown Chicago in over 10 years, they knew that the con had to be big and amazing, and I think they accomplished that.
here are a few pictures of all the wonderful people and things that was C2E2.
One of my Current Favorite Artist in the industry right now is Chris Samnee, Chris is a artist on Siege: Embedded and My favorite of the Vertigo's Crime Series Area 10.
This is my Area 10 graphic novel signed by Christos Gage & Chris Samnee with a sketch of the main character by Samnee.
and a sketch of one of my favorite female character Tara Chase from Oni Press' Queen & Country.
This is the talented Ethan Van Sciver doing a sketch of coolest character in DC Hal Jordan (Green Lantern).
Tony Harris was a hard man to find but I was able to get a sketch of Mitchell Hundred from Wildstorm's Ex Machina.
One of the nicest people at the show is Franco from Tiny Titans, Franco was giving sketches for only $1.
One of the coolest sketches is of The Hulk from Paul Pelletier.
But the best sketch of the weekend is one that I didn't even get,
It was the sketch my girlfriend got from Jim Cheung of an amazing Scarlett Witch.
Now to show some pics from the Convention floor. . .
Princess Leia
Marvel's X-Force (Wolverine, X-23, Warpath, Domino & Wolfbane)
