My Huge Summer To Do List ( or why I will be tired come September)

This summer looks to be full of activities to do in my wonderful city of Chicago.

Several different activities are going around town from June till August from Movies in the Park to a Late night Bike Ride and HUGE Pillow Fight.

I will be trying to be at ALL these places this summer and I hope to see you there as well :-)

(I started this blog before I was Ribfest but didn't finish it till after but Ribfest was Amazing, I had so much fun there)



Ribfest Chicago 2010 06/11- 06/13

Location: 4000-4130 N. Lincoln Ave


12th Annual Food/Music/Family fun fest in North center. Voted again in the Top 10 Chicago Fests, 65,000 lbs of BBQ and 50,000 fans are found at this nationally-recognized event. Chicagoland rib restaurants vie for "Best Ribs" and other vendors serve up tasty items. Top local and nationally touring indie/pop/rock/alt country bands take the stage for one of Chicago's best music fests (no cover bands!!). And families enjoy Kids Square on Sat/Sun from Noon-6pm. $5 Gate Donation requested


The Bamboozle Roadshow 2010 06/12

Location: Soldier Field Parking Lot


The Bamboozle Roadshow 2010 brings today’s best musicians on two stages for an incredible rockin’ experience at Chicago’s premier lake front venue, Soldier Field, in the heart of the Museum Campus. Other acts include: Forever The Sickest Kids, Good Charlotte, HelloGoodbye, Cady Groves, Great Big Planes, Mercy Mercedes, Stereo Skyline, The Ready Set, and Vita Chambers. Time lines and acts subject to change.

The Line-up is as follows;

It's here! A pillow fight is about to erupt on the streets of Chicago! FlashChicago is exited to be planning this event!

Here's the skinny:


-You will need a pillow for this event (a soft one please, no "firm" pillows, try to use down, or some other soft filling).
-You will need a bag (backpack or gym bag) to hide your pillow in until it's time.
-You will need to wear either a red or a blue shirt (LAST NAMES STARTING WITH A-M ARE RED, N-Z ARE BLUE.)
-You will need ears (to hear whistle to start the fight)
-You will meet in front of the "Bean" at 10:00am and hang out (take pics, act normal) until you hear the signal (see number 3).
-You will be required to have fun.
-You should bring a friend. The more the merrier!

Sales for the Taste of Chicago tickets go on sale on 06/19 at Dominicks for $6 a strip.

Considered one of the most spirited festivals, ¡Viva! moves to Millennium Park and celebrates 22 years of bringing some of the most beloved performers and Latin legends from around the world. The festival features two musical performance stages and a Salon de Baile, where all are welcome to come and dance to live music as well as stay for the evening DJ set.
